Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Despite of its announcement in the end of 2004, Splinter Cell: Chaos theory was actually released in the month of March of 2005 for major platforms including Play station, Xbox, windows and Gamecube. The mobile version for N-Gage and other mobile phones is also in the market. The game, at the time of its released went gold. Official Xbox magazine has awarded Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory with the “Game of the Year 2005” award.
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory depicts many improvements over its previous versions. The graphics in the game are improved and game play has also made advanced. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory game play storyline revolves around the secret activities of Sam Fisher, a secret agent working with the NSA black-ops branch called Third Echelon. As the splinter cell: chaos theory is based on the stealth mechanisms, so there are many challenging activities such as light bar, making noise, that Sam Fisher have to avoid in order to remain concealed from the enemy guards.
AI techniques used in the Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory has also improved. Even enemies are shown to have improved AI techniques in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Enemies suddenly react to changes happening in their environment. As this game is based on the theme of war between North Korea and South Korea, so it was given an early ban in South Korea. The ban was released for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and other banned games in the late of 2006.
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is available as multi player component also. Multi player game version includes co-operative game play of two splinter cell agents. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory features in-game advertisements provided by Massive Incorporated. This advertisement scheme has drawn many criticisms because of the location of the ads in the splinter cell game. However, players can disable ads in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory by not allowing the Internet connection to the ad server.
